25 Gorgeous finds to put a Spring in your step this Easter
A collection of joyful pieces to brighten your wardrobe, your table and your day.
Good morning! I hope you are all good and well and have had a lovely weekend so far :)
Just to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to read last week’s post - I had a lovely message from Higher Nature to say that the collagen was their best seller last Sunday so I am thinking there are a lot of us on board with trying it! Here’s to rolling back the years - although truthfully it’s not the wrinkles I am worried about, for me, it’s the joints that it’s helping!
You can read it here (Don’t forget to use the fab discount code if you order anything)
Anyway! This week has felt VERY Spring like - are we in full Spring now do we think? Or could it still snow… I am heading to the loft to do the dreaded clothes switch over, which will no doubt result in another mass Vinted session, Find Me Here and if it snows, I take full responsibility HA
I am nothing if not massively predictable so I have had a little look around the shops and have made a couple of new purchasements - I feel like my style has really changed over the last year and I no longer want to float about in a big dress and a denim jacket. That’s not to say I’ll never be seen in one again, but I am kinda bored of it.
I am a HUGE fan of jeans and a blouse, I know, not exactly ground breaking (‘for Spring’) but it’s my failsafe.
I was in Next the other day and there was a DELICIOUS green stripe linen blouse and a lady was saying to her friend ‘This is nice but I can’t do blouses’ I was desperate to know why, but they rather inconveniently went out of earshot, damn it! (linked it so you can decide for yourself although the model looks like she doesn’t do blouses either)
Jeans fans will know of my long standing love for M&S Lily jeans They are an excellent price and have been my go to for years, but I feel like they are possibly sliiiiightly too skinny now - especially as everywhere we look we are seeing barrel and horse-shoe shape jeans.
This week I found a pair of excellent ankle grazer jeans that are slim(ish) fit but brilliantly, they kick out very slightly at the hem. This is the holy grail of a shorter jean! They are so good I bought blue and white.
*New jeans enter the chat* I linked to the black ones to show you the little kick flare. I’d be massively put off by the image of the blue ones, but don’t be, as they roll down and if you are around 5ft 3 they will be the perfect length and not, as it seems in the photo, peddle pusher length.
I ordered a 12 and they are true to size - I read the reviews and I ordered 12 R - not short as I think they really are super cropped - I am 5ft3 and the Reg is literally the perfect ankle grazer length if you are low to the ground, like me haha. The white is slightly longer than the blue, so I’ve ordered 12L in the blue too. Will update on Stories. I’ve never been anything ‘LONG’ in my entire life. Anyway, fab jeans. Tick.
Honing my style and checking that things go together ensuring no dud purchases, I initiated the mood board HOW TO MAKE A MOODBOARD LINKED HERE and it’s all very pleasing indeed

NOW, if you are hosting this Easter, I have got you.
We had to cancel Christmas because 2 out of 5 of us were struck down with flu, so our big Boxing Day lunch was postponed and rescheduled for Easter Sunday. At the time that felt like EONS away….now suddenly it’s right around the corner.
Don’t laugh but I have ordered a turkey. And I have been perusing the digital aisles of the internet for some ‘Eastery bits’ for the table without breaking the bank. I love setting a pretty table, but I don’t have any urge to go full Easter bunny. Much as I love seeing other people embrace the pastel rabbits and all the seasonal guff… I am not she.
So if that sounds like you too, here are a few ideas for Easter without a rabbit or chick in sight.
TISSUE POMPOMS to dangle over the table
CAKE KNIFE SET (surprisingly useful for a pud, when a desert spoon is too big and a teaspoon is too small) - I found some gorgeous ones on Ebay - well worth a search - but if you prefer new - these are Morris & Co)
FLORAL SIDE PLATES M&S excellent price
FISH CANDLESTICK HOLDER bargain price and available in two colours
FLORENCE CHAMPAGNE COUPE GLASSES Lots of other styles, heavy quality and so pretty - brill price point
FLOWER SERVING BOWL (ooh ooh and if you are a fan of cabbage ware - CHECK THIS OUT I have it and it is very useful indeed)
DAISY SERVING PLATTER also available in pink.
And there we have it - my selection of irresistible finds to lift the spirits :)
I am off to the loft to unearth the summer clothes and I am very much hoping that ‘Autumn Me’, was sensible and stored it all away neatly, however I live with this woman and fear the worst. This is the same woman who is currently defrosting a joint of beef because it was taking up room in the freezer and now ‘some one’ needs to cook it. I shall be peeved about this woman for the foreseeable. She is very annoying. (Although in her defence, she was making room for the enormous vat of Jamie Oliver Get Ahead Gravy, you know, for Christmas Easter lunch)
Anyway
Have a fab week and one of us will be back next Sunday to host our weekly breakfast meeting!
Love
Sally xxx

T H A N K Y O U !
You do make me laugh. 'December Me' has twice bought heavily reduced turkeys from Waitrose on Christmas Eve and cooked them at Easter. The Covid year where we couldn't meet at Christmas, saw me cooking a Christmas pudding at Easter too. It blew MiL's mind , but it seemed fitting. Plus, growing up, my late mum always made two Christmas puddings, one for Christmas and one for Easter so it was like reviving a tradition. Enjoy!
I do love these Sunday morning meanders of your mind and shopping perusals! Brings a smile every week (and often a lighter wallet, totes influenced!). And those cherry sandals... 🍒 😍
